An inspired yet unintended piece which escaped from a scrap of 600-year-old California Coastal Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens), this two-piece abstract has personality and color, and is instantly equatable to a lone fish over a reef aimlessly drifting through a crystal sea. The grain of the wood is incredible; strong and waving as the sea, yet with delicate layers seeming endlessly embedded throughout. The image itself has depth as the rays of light in the piece gradually darkens from bottom to top. |
